Faith & Family Night Roars to Life as Tigers Take on Lamar!

Joining the sports spirit, the Texas Southern Department of Athletics and the Tiger Football team invite fans and families to Faith and Family Night on Saturday, September 13 at 6 p.m. at Shell Energy Stadium.

The Texas Southern Tigers will face the Lamar University Cardinals in a long-anticipated rematch. This game marks the first time since 1980 that Lamar has played Texas Southern in Houston.

Last year’s meeting in Beaumont was a thrilling game, ending in a narrow 20–17 win for Lamar. It was the first matchup between the two teams in nearly four decades, and now, the Tigers are ready for redemption.

This weekend’s game follows a tough game against UC Berkeley and a close 22–21 loss to Prairie View A&M in the annual Labor Day Classic. The Tigers now return to Houston determined to turn the game, and they need your support!
