Texas Southern University Foundation to Host Annual Tiger Ball Supporting Scholarships and Student Success

The Texas Southern University Foundation is set to welcome supporters, alumni, and community leaders for an unforgettable evening of celebration and impact at its annual Tiger Ball, taking place Saturday, April 18, 2026, at the Hilton Americas Hotel in Downtown Houston.

Hosted by the Texas Southern University Foundation Board of Trustees, this black-tie gala is the University’s premier fundraising event, generating critical support for student scholarships and innovative academic programming.

In 2025, the gala raised more than $1 million.

“The Foundation Board always looks forward to celebrating the partnerships that uplift and empower our students,” said Dr. Frazier Wilson, Chair of the Texas Southern University Foundation Board of Trustees. “The generosity shared through this event helps provide life-changing scholarships and creates opportunities that fuel student success, especially as many rely on scholarships during these uncertain economic times. In addition to the fundraising, the evening will shine a light on student success, highlight the University’s continued momentum and its commitment to the Tiger Promise, the University’s groundbreaking tuition guarantee program designed to remove financial barriers to higher education.

The Tiger Promise provides vital assistance to eligible Texas students, including those from households earning under $125,000 annually, and supports first-time freshmen and transfer students who meet priority application and FAFSA deadlines.

Guests can also look forward to dynamic entertainment, including a performance by the world-renowned Ocean of Soul Marching Band, as well as world-class entertainment that will be announced at a later date.

The Tiger Ball promises to be an inspiring night where philanthropy meets purpose — helping open doors for deserving students and strengthening the future of Texas Southern University.
