Marking a Year of Leadership: President Crawford and TSU’s Road to 100

Texas Southern University is the host of a special celebration marking the one-year anniversary of President J.W. Crawford III’s leadership and the launch of the university’s bold centennial initiative, the Road to 100 campaign.

Organized by the Division of Development and Alumni Engagement, the event celebrates President Crawford’s first year at the front and spotlight TSU’s vision for the next century. It’s a moment to reflect on past achievements and the university’s future.

In his remarks, President Crawford recognized the collaborative progress made over the past year, including the elevation of student voices, national growth, and renewed alumni involvement. “As we approach 100 years of impact, we are building momentum for the next century. That is what today is all about: honoring where we have been, appreciating where we are, and boldly charting where we are going,” he addressed.

As part of the celebration, the university also held the official unveiling of the “Road to 100” logo, a visual representation of TSU’s centennial journey and its ambitious vision for the future.

With this celebration, Texas Southern not only honors a year of transformation, it reaffirms its commitment to progress, unity, and a legacy that continues to grow stronger as it approaches a historic milestones.
