Bullard Center Kicks Off 2025 HBCU Environmental Justice Climate Corps at Texas Southern

The Bullard Center for Environmental & Climate Justice at Texas Southern University has officially launched the 2025 HBCU Environmental Justice Climate Corps, now in its third year. The summer internship program began with a welcome from Dr. Robert D. Bullard, Ph.D., the Center’s founding director, as shared in a June 6 post on X (formerly Twitter).

“The 2025 HBCU Environmental Justice Climate Corps kicked off its 3rd summer internship today with a welcome by our founder, Dr. Robert D. Bullard,” the Bullard Center wrote.

The program places students from historically Black colleges and universities at the forefront of environmental justice and climate equity work. Over the course of the summer, participants will engage in hands-on learning, community partnerships, and applied research—reflecting the Bullard Center’s mission to advance equity-driven solutions in environmental and climate policy.
